Argentina's Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, announced a major investment of $500 million from Uber to develop its business in the country over the next three years.

Buenos Aires, March 17 (NA) – Minister of Economy Luis Caputo announced that Uber will invest US$500 million to develop its operations in Argentina. "Important: Uber will invest 500 million dollars in Argentina. I had an excellent meeting with José Luis Daza," informed the head of the Ministry of Finance on social networks. On the company's side were present Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber; Eli Frías, General Manager for Argentina; and Juan Martín Cappellini, Head of Uber Eats Argentina. "Within the framework of its 10 years in the country, the company announced an investment of US$ 500 million for the next 3 years to expand its operation, relaunch Uber Eats, and continue consolidating Argentina as a priority market," Caputo pointed out in a post.
